Tom Feeney Ranch is a 76 year old vineyard planted in shallow loam over heavy clay continues to produce remarkable fruit. Picked later than usual in this cool vintage (October 21st ), yields were barely 1.5 tons to the acre. The must was cold soaked for 7 days before indigenous fermentation began. After 18 days on the skin, the wine was pressed into all French oak, 30% new. It was bottled unfined and unfiltered in January 2004.

Tasting Note:

Medium to medium-dark ruby-purple in color. Captivating aromas of fresh Zin-berries, eucalyptus, ruby red grapefruit, and a whiff of smoke and vanilla. On the palate, smooth and exceptionally elegant. Drink this seductive wine from release through 2009. (MRO - 11/4/03)
