After having no fruit in 2015, it was quite a relief to see this beautiful own-rooted (a rarity in California!), old-vine vineyard produce a crop again in 2016.  Usually our last fruit of the year, with smaller than average yields and a warm growing season, the fruit ripened earlier, coming in on September 20th.  Fermented with our favorite local yeast, the wine spent 21 days on the skin before being pressed to all French oak, 19% new.  Unfined.
