2011 Vintage

Nearly as cool as 2010 but fortunately without the catastrophic heat event of that year. Rain on the North Coast on October 3rd through 6th and then again on October 10th caused botrytis to develop in many vineyards. Careful picking was required. Resulting wines are very fresh, even lithe, and very age worthy thanks to higher than average acidity. Red wines are oriented more towards red fruits as opposed to black. A very unique year.
