Dry Creek Valley

The Ray Teldeschi Ranch is located in mid Dry Creek Valley, beginning close to the valley floor and running up the hills to the east. With numerous blocks and varieties, we source Zinfandel from the oldest block on the ranch (planted in the 1880s!) to serve as the base of our Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel.   These vines, growing in the highly ferrous, slightly acidic Manzanita Gravelly Silt Loam soil series, are in amazing shape and are so free of virus that they have provided budwood for many other Zinfandel vineyards.  Given the warmth of Dry Creek Valley, this vineyard is typically picked in the first half of September.
