A fantastic vintage for DuPratt!  Picked October 3rd, yields from these own-rooted vines planted in 1920 were a respectable 2.9 tons to the acre.  With a heavier crop, we were able to let the fruit hang longer without sugars getting out of hand.  The additional hang time also provided an opportunity for the acidity to fall to a more normal level at harvest, as opposed to some of the freakishly high acidities we’ve seen in the past.   Aged in all French oak, only 17% new, and bottled unfined and unfiltered.
